Terms of use

RanThis publishes hands-on guides and news about AI tools. This page explains what you get when you use the site, and what we don't promise.

This is a plain description of how the site works, written by the people who run it. It is not a legal document drafted by a lawyer; the parts that need one are listed at the end of this page.

What RanThis is

  • RanThis publishes guides and news about AI tools, Claude skills and related software. We don't sell any software or service: if you buy something, you deal directly with the vendor, under their terms.
  • Our content is for information only. It is not legal, tax, financial or security advice.

Content and accuracy

  • Articles are based on our own tests and on official vendor pages, the press and community sources, listed at the end of each article. Sources from forums and communities are labeled as such.
  • Some content is drafted with AI assistance and checked before it is published.
  • Prices, plans and terms change often. Check the vendor's own page before you pay.
  • AI-generated illustrations and interface mockups built with code are labeled under the image.
  • If you find a mistake, please tell us. We correct what we can verify.

Reusing our content

You may quote short excerpts and share links to our articles, with credit to RanThis. Please don't copy whole articles. Product names, logos and content of other companies belong to their owners.

When these terms change

When these terms change, we update this page and the date at the bottom.

Contact

A contact email for this site is coming soon. This section will be updated as soon as it is available.

What isn't finished yet

This page describes how things are today, so some parts are still missing. We list them here instead of filling the gaps with guesses:

  • a contact email and postal address for the people responsible for the site;
  • governing law, limitation of liability and dispute resolution. We don't write these ourselves: they need to be confirmed by a lawyer before they are published.
