Privacy policy
This page describes what this website collects — which is very little.
This is a plain description of how the site works, written by the people who run it. It is not a legal document drafted by a lawyer; the parts that need one are listed at the end of this page.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies: no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party cookies, and no cookie to remember a language (the site is in English only).
Analytics and third parties
- We don't run any analytics tool (such as Google Analytics), advertising code or social media embeds.
- Fonts are served from this site's own server; your browser doesn't contact Google Fonts.
- Images are served through this site's own server. Links to other websites only load when you click them.
- If we ever add an analytics tool, this page will say which one and what it stores before it goes live.
Data you send us
- There are no accounts, comment forms or newsletter sign-ups on this site, so we don't ask you for any personal information.
- If you email us, your address and message stay in the site operator's mailbox and are only used to reply to you.
Server logs
Like most websites, our server records each request: the time, the page requested, the response code, the referring page, your browser type (User-Agent) and the IP address the request came from. We use these logs to count page views and fix problems. They aren't used to build profiles of readers and aren't sold or shared.
Your choices
- We don't build profiles of readers, so there is no account or profile to delete.
- If you have emailed us and want the message deleted from our mailbox, say so in your email.
Privacy contact
A contact email for privacy questions is coming soon. This section will be updated as soon as it is available.
What isn't finished yet
This page describes how things are today, so some parts are still missing. We list them here instead of filling the gaps with guesses:
- a contact email and postal address for the people responsible for the site;
- how long server logs are kept;
- statements required by data-protection laws (such as the legal basis for processing, your rights as a data subject, retention periods and breach notification). We don't write these ourselves: they need to be confirmed by a lawyer before they are published.
